Glooloween – A Gloo Halloween project

Augmented reality is fast becoming the new buzzword for emmersive experiences online. While brands are still trying to find ways to imlement these as an extension of their campaigns, agency as beginning to show that they have a great understanding of this latest technology.
Some background about the site is that it was a proactive project to spread the Gloo love to a few of their clients. All music and animation on the site was produced internally – with the Gloo band performing their own rendition of Thriller.
The idea was to create something interactive and fun for their clients to experience at Halloween – as well as to introduce this innovative technology to theor client base.

Makes me wonder about this AR stuff – it’s quite a lot of effort for the end-user (printer, webcam, suitable lighting) so the experience has to be worth it. In this case I think it is, but I didn’t feel compelled to play again after one game – really lacking stickiness. Did feel compelled to share it for it’s novelty though.
