Emma is a British photographer who has been living in and photographing Johannesburg since September 2009. She has been involved with several charities and has taken photographs of the work they do and the people who benefit. Emma will be exhibiting this work from the 7th to the 15th of December at Upstairs @ Bamboo in Mellville. The exhibition includes documentary photographs taken of people who live on the streets of Johannesburg CBD, families who’ve adopted children from SA and the community of Thembilihle informal settlement F block in Lenasia as well as images from a photo project Emma did with boys who attend St John’s College Academy. The aim of the exhibition is to raise funds and awareness for the various charity programmes. Vist Emma’s website or Facebook page for more.
