140 BBDO very cleverly jumped aboard the Youtube moutain biker sensation with a tactical banner campaign for Capitec Bank. The video, featuring a mountain biker being taken out by a red hartebees, was seeing some serious traffic with over 7 million views at the time (now over 11 million). In response, 140 BBDO placed Capitec banner ads on the video page saying, ‘Get bucks even quicker’, ‘Keep an eye on your bucks’, ‘The buck stops here’ and ‘More bucks, less charges’. Quick-thinking!
