Ford’s #FocusMyFunds

This social media campaign for Ford by Ogilvy Joburg takes the form of a competition on twitter called Ford’s #FocusMyFunds. Five bloggers are competing against each other to see who can raise the most funds for their chosen charities in a day – using only a Ford Focus & R100. The Focus comes with innovative technology features including Bluetooth with Voice Control, allowing the competitors to call on their network of influencers for help.


The competition officially kicked off on Monday with Denis Pathudi auctioning off a date with celebs like SK From Channel O, Lulo Café, Dineo Ranaka and Uyanda Mbuli. His chosen charity is Nappy Run.


Tuesday was Tanya Kovarsky’s turn. She took to the tarmac in her running shoes to raise money for the SPCA and fans sponsored every kilometer she pounded out. She ran 25 kms, but she’s keeping her final tally a secret for now.


On Wednesday Mika Stefano sold raffle tickets to raise money for Soweto HIV and AIDS Counsellors Association (SOHACA).


Today, Nicole da Silva is taking to the streets in aid of Princess Alice Adoption Home.


To end off the challenge on Friday, Jasna Zellerhoff  will be showing everyone what Cape Town is made of.


The bloggers get to keep whatever they make and Ford is matching the amount for the charity of their choice. The winning blogger will enjoy a luxurious weekend away.
