We’re asking local creatives & bloggers what 5 South African products/gifts are on their wishlist this Xmas. Kicking us off is Kate Desmarais, copywriter at Ogilvy Cape Town and part-time stylist,¬†tumblr-er and It’s What I’m Into contributing editor.
1. Opus Hanging Garden
Local lovelies, Opus, create the most beautiful, gravity defying gardens. I have no idea how it works, which is probably why I like it so much.
2. Tilly’s Hand Made Ice Cream
So probably not the ideal gift to wrap up and put under a Christmas tree, but if someone delivered me a big tub of Tilly’s, I’d be the happiest little girl in the world. My preferred flavour? Chocolate & Chocolate.
3. Lunar Fog by Jean De Wet
Local illustrator Jean De Wet recently released his first zine, Lunar Fog Vol 1. At only R35, Lunar Fog is the perfect gift for any local art lover. You can pick one up at astore. (image via Revolution Daily.)
4. Classic Haasbroek Tee
With his t-shirts becoming a regular feature on hit shows like Modern Family, I would say now would be a good time to invest in a classic Haasbroek tee.
5. David West Summer 2011 Collection
The whole collection would be nice, but if I had to choose, I’d go for the white cotton short sleeve shirt. So fresh.
