Recent news of African languages being dropped from the curriculum as 2nd language options in former Model C schools has been met with a response from Nando’s in the form of a Zulu tactical ad.
It reads, “Hlonipha ulimi lwakho… Luzwise ubumnandi be Nando’s ephekwe ngomlilo, bese inandiswe nge Peri-Peri yodumo.” and translates into English as, “Respect your (mother) tongue… Give it a taste of our delicious Peri-Peri, flame-grilled chicken.”
