A rather strange concept by The Jupiter Drawing Room (Cape Town) for Lucky Pet. Â The brief was to come up with an innovative way to capture information from and create a database of South African cat lovers.
The agency’s solution was to run an online ‘beauty pageant’, The Purrfect Pin-up Kitty Competition, and the prize was to have your pet immortalised as a pin-up model. It worked! More than 800 pets were entered from all over the country, and over 50 000 votes were cast by the cat-loving public.
The 12 winning cats were illustrated in a classic circa 50’s style to recreate the pin-up calendars from that era.
