Mcdonald's 'Love Your Dessert' - Between 10 and 5

Mcdonald’s ‘Love Your Dessert’

McDonalds_ApplePie

A new campaign by DDB and illustrated by Masters & Savant inspired by the works of renowned ceramicist, Paul Smith.

M&S says, ”We wanted to create the textures of a sculpture while at the same time conveying the feeling of a person who is relishing any of the Mcdonald’s dessert offerings; be it a milkshake, mcflurry, sundae, ice-cream or apple pie. In addition to the expressions of complete bliss and contentment, we also tried to give our characters depth and their own unique personalities.”

  5. Sizwe says:

Its called “Art Direction”. Cute style.

  6. Wippity says:

Bravo: Character style was explicitly briefed in by agency – it’s what art directors do – you may not like it, but please don’t get on Masters’ case if you know nothing about the job.

  7. Champ says:

    Yawn, clutter.

“Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic. Authenticity is invaluable; originality is non-existent. And don’t bother concealing your thievery – celebrate it if you feel like it. In any case, always remember what Jean-Luc Godard said: “It’s not where you take things from – it’s where you take them to.â€
