Maja Studio is an award-winning, boutique, motion design, illustration, animation and visual effects studio in Joburg. When they were briefed by Brand Activation to create an inflight AV detailing the arrivals process, usually an uninspiring and ugly piece of motion graphics, they took the opportunity to create these attractive visuals.
The AV, for international flights on South African Airways, also needed to be content specific depending on the country of arrival. Maja created versions for SAA destinations Perth, Sal Paulo, Frankfurt, London, New York, Hong Kong, Johannesburg and Cape Town including iconic tourist attractions found in each city.
Above is the AV for passengers landing in Beijing. Something pleasant to look at after a 15 hour flight.

does this mean they got rid of that horrible fat man animation? i hope so. i hate that guy. i always bummed in the AV when he survives the emergency landing safely.
