This month’s CreativeMornings Cape Town speaker is designer and innovator Mokena Makeka, director of award winning design practice Makeka Design Lab and Founder of the Museum of Design Innovation Leadership & Art, MoDILA.
Mokena is a member of the World Economic Forum: Global Agenda Council on Design and he is a celebrated and respected architect and urbanist around the world. He currently serves as an advisor to the Minister of Human Settlements on matters of human settlements and is an authority on transport infrastructure within the region. He serves as an external examiner at Columbia University and a part time Lecturer at University of Cape Town.
Mokena is a proponent of creative celebration and excellence within the region and across the globe. He is a member of Cape Town’s World Design Capital for 2014 bid committee and an advocate of architecture and design as tools for social change.
