This moody series of portraits, inspired by a Tretchikoff painting, is the latest project by Cape Town photographer Paul Cocks and was styled by Kate Desmarais.
Paul says, “Kate and I had spoken for some time about collaborating on a shoot. She was keen to shoot fashion and I was keen to shoot nicely styled portraits.” They merged their visions and settled on shooting the model, Nargis, portrait style with items of clothing used as head wraps.
