Another collaboration from Nature’s Skin Food, this time with Johannesburg designer Fiona Goldthorpe. This 100% natural, handmade designer soap range is inspired by the Mexican holiday Dia de los Muertos or Day of the Dead.
Fiona says the range emerged after a lengthy process of painstaking tweaks – creating different moulds, laser cutting, then silicone moulding – along with deciding on which ingredients to use that would work well.
The 4 variants are:
• Activated Charcoal – great for detoxifying skin.
• Crushed Pearl infused with lemongrass oil – made from real crushed pearls of Thailand. Highly regarded for centuries by the Chinese and with great anti-aging properties.
• Asian Tree Bark with eucalyptus and spearmint oil – also wonderful for the skin, especially in healing skin conditions such as excema or psoriasis.
• Colombian Cacao – cacao was revered by the ancient Mayan and Aztec civilisations for its nutritional and cosmetic properties. We have infused it with vanilla oils.
The soaps are available at selected stores in Johannesburg which you’ll find under ‘stockists’ at www.fionagoldthorpe.co.za
