South African culture inspired character design and illustration by 23 year old graphic designer from Joburg, David Tshabalala.
He explains his approach to design, “I believe every artist has an inner child that brings about an infinite amount of creativity within them. It is with this free spirit and enthusiasm that I approach any kind of work I have to produce. I believe my strength lies in illustration and my genuine love for image manipulation. These are very important aspects of my design philosophy and so is typography.”
David has been designing for 5 years but considers himself a life-long artist, “My fascination with illustrations and all things whimsical began in pre-school, crayons and paper were like food for my soul and I’ve been hungry ever since.”
