One of our favourite local up and coming photographers is Amy Scheepers. She’s back from a recent break from photography and we’re so glad.
She let us know what she has been up to lately, “I have just taken a small break from photography and have been concentrating on a range of ceramics I’m pretty excited about and which should be finished within the next few months. I’ve also joined up with a friend and her online vintage store, Pippin, so I’m spending some time planning new projects for that little venture.¬†However, photography projects have been piling up and I’m at it again, with plenty new ideas for personal projects and one or two offers for bigger ones.”
These are some selects from Amy’s most recent shoots.
We asked her who the creative women are that inspire her. She said, “There are so many creative woman who inspire me and it’s hard to pick one. At the moment I can’t stop reading about and looking at the work of Ellen von Unwerth. I also find myself looking at Sarah Moon and Camilla Akrans whenever I need inspiration.”
