Album Art Jamming with The Plastics

The Plastics

South African band The Plastics came up with an interesting and collaborative idea for the artwork for their upcoming second album, Pyramid.

Instead of leaving the task in one designer’s hands, they invited 17 Cape Town artists and illustrators to each make a piece inspired by one of the songs off the new album. The artists joined the band yesterday at Art Jamming in Green Point to get going. We stopped by to take some pics.

The participating artists are:

  • Arno Kruger
  • Baden Moir
  • Cassandra Johnson
  • Clement de Bruin
  • David Querido
  • Emma Butlin
  • Gary Cool
  • Hanno van Zyl
  • Heath Nash
  • Inka Kendzia
  • Jade Waller
  • Lauren Waller
  • Lorraine Loots
  • Peter Crafford
  • Roann Louw
  • Simon Berndt
  • Swain Hoogervorst

We can’t wait to see the final result.
