For his latest shoot, freelance photographer Kevin Goss-Ross buried the band members of Durban ‘Afro-Punkrock Reggae’ band, Fruits & Veggies, in boxes of fresh produce.
He explained the idea behind the individual portraits, “In Durban bands change members faster than bribes change hands. Fruits & Veggies had already gone through multiple member changes and so we decided to do a modular type shoot. Members can be added or taken away with a quick portrait if someone leaves or joins the band. We shot the four piece band and on the same day another guitarist was added. A month later they aquired a violinist. Good thing we did it this way.”
