For the launch campaign of the new Platinum Label, for the “new whisky set”, Johnnie Walker has opened a “One Bottle” liquor store, which houses the first bottle of Johnnie Walker Platinum Label, signed by Master Blender, Jim Beveridge.
The store is situated in Melrose Arch where, since the 14th of September, the public has been invited to place bids on the collector’s item in person. Alternatively consumers can bid on the bottle at www.johnniewalkerplatinum.co.za, where the current owner is displayed, or through the Facebook application.
At the moment, the highest bid is standing at R115 100. For one weekend, starting 28 September, the winning bidder will be the only person in South Africa to exclusively possess a bottle of Johnnie Walker Platinum Label.
All the proceeds from the auction will be donated to SADD – South Africans Against Drunk Driving.
