After landing on Thomas de Beer’s portfolio while link hopping I immediately wanted to share it here. The Durban based graphic designer and illustrator, who likes to make smoothies, watch animated movies or write horror stories for children when he isn’t drawing or painting, let us in on how he feels about his work:
Having a look over all the projects I’ve worked on, I think I’m still searching for what I really want to do. My main problem is that I just want to do everything, I want to make animations, design computer games, write and illustrate folklore for children but at the same time I’m also busy learning how to paint portraits and tattoo.
In this day and age we have the privilege of having so many tools at our disposable, but what I do know is that whatever I’m doing or wherever I’m going, drawing and painting will help me progress and move forward. It’ll teach me about the world around me and help me discover and create new ones.
