Cape Town based creative Lola Bartlett experimented with film, photography, sound and performance, while studying Performance and Visual Art at The University of Brighton in the UK, before deciding that illustration is the medium for her.
She says the decision of putting an emphasis on the physical art of using pencil, pens, inks and paint was made as the only way to live is to do what you love.
Since being a freelance illustrator she has worked for Boss Models, collaborated on a series of fashion illustrations with stylist and milliner Crystal Birch and created illustrations for a short story by Jonathan Basckin. Selections of which you can see here.
