XooXity Hackathon | Hosted by hellocomputer and 10and5

We’re inviting you to come along to our XooXity hackathon and prototype an interactive and light-inspired project.

The winning prototype will be exhibited at the XooXity tech, music and art festival in Mary Fitzgerald Square from 2-3 May 2014. You will also have R15 000 to build the final installation.

The brief: use a scaffolding structure of 6m x 6m x 15m that will sit at the back of Mary Fitzgerald Square. You must make use of lighting, which the crowd can interact with in a playful way.

Your hack teams need to include both creative and tech members. Each team needs a minimum of 4 members, eg. 2 creatives (agency creatives, artists) and 2 techies (developers, engineers, propellerheads).

The space is industrial enough for you to build, break and then rebuild your prototypes. Caffeine, pizza and wi-fi will be provided.

The winning prototype will be announced at 8pm on the Saturday and a project plan will be put in place for final production.

Date:              15 March

Venue:           47 Juta Street, Braamfontein

Time:             8am to 8pm
