One of the world’s most popular messaging apps, Blackberry Messenger (BBM), has launched a fun and interesting new competition in South Africa: The BBM Stickathon, which aims to add distinctly local chat icons, known as stickers or “Stickas”, to the BBM messaging app.
The BBM Stickathon competition is open to all designers, from doodlers to the very experienced, and aims to empower and engage the South African design community.
“BBM is an increasingly popular social messaging application for South Africans,” says BBM Vice President Matthew Talbot. “We are hoping to see huge enthusiasm for the first BBM Stickathon in South Africa. Our BBM Stickathon contest looks to open doors for talented designers to participate and make their own unique stickas come to life in BBM.”
Cutting edge design equipment including an Apple iMac, a MacBook Pro and Wacom drawing tablets are up for grabs – the perfect start-up gear for young designers looking to get their own design studio into action.
To enter your designs go to: www.bbmstickathon.co.za and submit three original Stickas.
Valid entries will be featured on the website where the public will be able to vote for their favourite Sticka set for the chance of winning BlackBerry phones.
The winning Sticka sets will be available in the BBM Shop for users to download and transform their chatsperience.
Closing date for submissions is 16 December 2015.
BBM is available as a free download for Android, iOS, BlackBerry and Windows phones. Download BBM here to be a part of the experience.
