Founded by renowned artist William Kentridge, the Centre for The Less Good Idea – which launched last month in Joburg – aims to find “the secondary ideas, those less good ideas coined to address the first idea’s cracks”, by creating and supporting experimental, collaborative and cross-disciplinary arts projects.

Bringing together artists and combinations of text, performance, image and dance work, The Centre aims to become a safe space for failure, and for seeing the world through a collective vision, rather than an individual one. 

With The Centre recently wrapping up its first season, we caught up with Kentridge and tracked down a few of the artists and performances to get a better idea of the project. Check out our video below and the centre’s site
