Kenyan Photographer Rich Allela is Telling the Stories of African People from All Walks of Life

Rich Allela‘s photographic repertoire consists of multiple genres; fine art photography, digital, documentary as well even experimental editorial work.

Allela is highly skilled in depicting the narratives of people from various backgrounds and ventures into projects that uplift the community in some way or another, creating visibility for the unsung heroes. Through his passion, the Kenyan photographer has won multiple awards including the Canon Kenya Photography People’s Choice Award in 2016 and the Canon, PicFair & New African Magazine photography award in 2017 but to name a few.

Allela’s love of Africa really shines through in his work and it’s easy to see why it’s important that we tell our own stories, to be part of a history that celebrates the many faces of the continent.
