Halls – Free your voice
Here’s the latest Halls ad, fresh out of Ogilvy Cape Town. It’s already receiving quite a bit of attention online (probably due to Squirrels rad dance moves). Here’s a bit from the press release:
In keeping with the brand’s “Free your Voice” proposition which goes beyond soothing irritated throats, the commercial demonstrates how Halls can give consumers the confidence to speak and be heard – giving them a voice. The ‘squirrel’ campaign not only builds on this proposition, but also ties in with the football fever that’s currently sweeping South Africa.
Clorets – Love the Onion
The latest Clorets Eliminator TVC created by Ogilvy Cape Town.
Dentyne – Bring back the smile
Word on the street is that we are the first to receive this amazing new ad from Ogilvy Cape Town. It’s the first of three beautiful TV executions done for Dentyne. The ad was created by Jennifer MacFarlane, Cuan Cronwright and Alexi McCarthy and the idea behind it is that women are more beautiful when they smile. We agree!

The title also bears literal reference to conceptual process by which the artworks will be produced. Six artists working in any medium of their choice, 6 Bukowski poems, 36 individual artworks & 1 collaborative title piece.

Running with Scissors
Some think you are audacious, courageous … even reckless.
We’d like you to prove it.
On the 21st of April two thousand and ten at 1pm sharp, we’re staging, quite possibly, the most reckless, even dangerous piece of performance art this city has ever seen. Ignore what your parents told you, summon up all your reserves of bravery … we’re Running With Scissors.
This wednesday, 21 April at 1pm sharp we’ll be joining the rest of the Cape Town art crowd at Greenmarket Square (look out for the giant pair of scissors) to run to Cape Town City Hall. Less than a 5 minute run, it’s the perfect lunchtime activity and arty injection your week needs. All you need to bring is yourself and a pair of scissors. For more information check out the facebook event here.
