A BIG Thank-you!

Wow. The Serenade Your Walls exhibition yesterday was even better than we expected! Thank you to all who came through to enjoy the art, the music, a few beers and great company. Also a massive thanks to all the AM I COLLECTIVE folk who worked so hard to help us make it happen. If you missed out, the work is still up for you to view at the AM I COLLECTIVE Garage and we’ll be uploading photos from the event soon! The posters are available for online purchase at shop.10and5.com.
Some of the posters meant to be displayed were damaged in transit so we couldn’t put them up. Biggest apologies to these artists and bands. We know it’s not the same but we think you still need to see them, here they are:

Kwani Experience by Lauren Fowler

Desmond & The Tutu's by Job Solario

Jax Panik by Arno Kruger
Also somehow the Latimer brothers’ names got switched around. To clear things up, the Pity the Fool poster is by Alex Latimer and the Sedge Warbler poster is by Patrick Latimer. Sorry guys!
All in all it was a very successful event and we’d love to do it again, we’ll keep you posted!

Pecha Kucha posters (Call for submissions)

Poster done by Amicollective for the previous Pecha Kucha. This just in from Instant Grass, the company responsible for hosting the Pecha Kucha evenings in Cape Town:
In the true nature of Pecha Kucha we have decided to open source our invite designs…So if you are a creative talent looking for some exposure, put something together and send it our way.
Pecha Kucha for those that don’t know is a platform for creative people to get together and share their thoughts and inspirations. Instant Grass has been involved in this concept for the last year. We do not make any money out of Pecha Kucha. We want to give back to the youth by offering them a platform to get their talent out there. Read more…

Ogilvy does Dakar
This poster / print ad was created by Ogilvy Cape Town to celebrate Volkswagen’s momentous victory in this year’s Dakar Rally. The ad highlights the harsh conditions experienced during the race, and how Team Touareg prevailed, in spite of the torturous environment and competitors. The work was conceptualised and executed by creative team Matthew Pullen (Art Director) and Craig Ross (Copywriter) with the guidance of Creative Directors Chris Gotz, Jacques Massardo and Gareth McPherson. The skeleton car was illustrated by Amicollective.

Who’Dunnit – Sports Illustrated Afrikaans TV ad
UPDATE: this has been solved. Click through to view who did the campaign.
We couldn’t find out who produced this video for Sports Illustrated Afrikaans. It’s our Who Dunnit of the week. We had to do some sleuthing around to find it at all online at first, we eventually found it on MyVideo.
The first correct answer wins last years April Sports Illustrated issue.
AmiCollective Round 2

We’ve featured some great works by AmiCollective previously, but since their work is just simply too prolific to mush into one post, we’re featuring a second post on some of their work. This time round we feature a couple of different works from the previous Orange and Red Bull focus.
