Gloo Recruitment Banner
Here’s a very nice banner campaign from Gloo. This was to recruit new staff to their Johannesburg and Cape Town offices (or Glooburg and Glootown as they refer to them).
Nice and interactive. Check out the full banner here.
Lexus IS Campaign Site
Stonewall+ recently launched the new Lexus IS campaign site. Using the concept of Nanosites, the whole campaign site will be repurposed into banner executions.

Gloo – Ghost Pop Banners
I recently found this banner by Gloo (ED: Hey Gloo how about sending them to us in the future! We love these!!
Really enjoyed the concept of a normal washing ad that goes wrong when you mouse over. Great concept, awesome execution. Definitely worth having a look.
What’s your thoughts?
Stonewall+ creates Dial-A-Nerd banners
Stonewall+ created these rich media banners.
The idea was to create top of mind awareness for the Dial a Nerd brand in the online space using Rich Media. They came up with three Rich Media concepts to inform the target audience that Dial a Nerd not only fixes computers but that they also sell a range of accessories, laptops, hardware, Macs and can help you upgrade your machine. You can view them here: Nerd Flash, Nerd Fix and Nerd Upgrade.
Then for good measure they also came up with the idea to have an interactive banner (ED: Please note that after the campaign was finished they have moved servers and this might run a bit slow) that you could chat to and ask advice. The banner can give you the number to your closest nerd branch, help you make a booking, give you advice on how to remove a virus, tell you what RAM is or just have a chat. This allowed Dial a Nerd to extend their service experience online and get users to interact with the brand and it’s character, Dan.
Great concepts, great executions!
Windhoek missed the point?
Last week with all the election hoo-ha I was checking on the 24.com election site quite regularly (every 15-20 mins or so) and couldn’t help to notice the massive Windhoek banner ads displayed all over the site.

What I found that was quite interesting was that even though I was refreshing the page every few minutes the ads were still displaying (for those that don’t know, one of the more popular banner ad placement options are to select how many times an advert displays to each viewers so that you don’t waste your impressions on users that don’t want to click on your banner). Latest work from Gloo – Simba, Food24 and Plascon

Gloo has sent us some of their latest work – we know it’s not the flashy creative stuff that won them awards at the Loeries and other places, but they are still very well executed sites for Plascon, Simba and a very cool little flash game for Food24.
Both Plascon and Simba include wonderfully rich, detailed and finely crafted flash banners, while still sticking to strict content control (these are corporate sites after all). The Simba site also has a flash animated landing page from where you can go to the relevant pages. The animation is best experienced by clicking through to the relevant sites.

Corsa banner on MyVideo.co.za
Two really stylishly created banners spotted on MyVideo.co.za.
Corsa has put a lot into the “Corsa picks Corsa people” concept. These banners where eye catching and fun and nicely executed within the original concept.
It’s just massively unfortunate that they spelled “untill” incorrectly.
Any idea Who’dunnit? Let us know.
