Nando’s haven’t wasted any time with this sneaky tactical ad just in. The message hints at Lance Armstong’s very recent confession in an interview with Oprah about using performance-enhancing drugs.

This clever idea by KingJames for insurance company Santam offered people the chance to be warned before all the scary parts in M-Net’s Halloween horror movies last night. This is how they did it:

Santam being an insurance company really, really hate it when clients get nasty surprises so they set up a special service to warn viewers of the scariest parts in the Halloween movies. The ad above aired yesterday before 4 scary movies.

The social media team at www.twitter.com/talktosantam also set up a special Fright Centre to live tweet warnings (using the hashtag #scarybits) about scares that were coming up during Paranormal Activity and Paranormal Activity 2.

Marmite, the original dark spread, is going full Halloween for their Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark campaign this October. The integrated tactical campaign by Machine encourages people to be brave and “try the original dark stuff, because there really isn’t anything to be afraid of.”

The campaign includes two graffiti walls in Johannesburg – at the corner of Empire Road and Jan Smuts Ave and on Louis Botha -, special edition Halloween Marmite jars, an illustrated poster campaign featuring well-known horror characters and their versions of  a good Marmite sarmie, and matching, handcrafted and painted figurines moulded around the shape of a Marmite jar. These unique pieces will be auctioned off for charity.

Another element to the campaign is 13 Dark Tales, a book of thirteen short South African ghost stories complete with illustrations. Excerpts and illustrations from each tale have been shared via the Marmite Facebook page in order for fans to ‘Guess The SA Ghost Story’ to win prizes.

Nando’s is doing good during the month of Ramadaan by teaming up with charity organisation Gift of the Givers for their Feed Your Soul campaign. Their Muslim customers, who will be fasting during the month of Ramadaan, are invited (along with anyone else who wants to join in) to donate their lunch money to feed someone less fortunate.
