The Illustrators is a project by Cow Africa, each season they launch a range of T-shirts designed by international illustrators. The exclusive range includes 3 different prints and is limited to 100 tees only available in South Africa. You’ll probably remember the previous range designed by French illustrator Niark1. This season’s range is designed by Francesco Muzzi of Firenze,Italy. Francesco’s work is regularly seen in publications like WIRED magazine. The T-shirts are available at Hello Again, 44 Bloem Street, Cape Town or online at astoreisgood.com.

Pretty soon we’ll see the launch of the second ghd Style Lounge – an innovative take on styling and a pop-up store. If you are someone who would be interested in the event, make sure you sign up on the site. The website was produced by Cow Africa. The press release is below:

ghd has become known for innovative events in South Africa that link social media, public relations and live events. Last year’s style lounge events attracted over 4000 applications and received over R1.5 million worth of media coverage for the brand.

Cow Africa recently produced some really cool short-film, documentary style clips for their client The Grid (the Vodacom mobile, LBS social network). The whole press release is on the Cow Africa site, but the gist of the work is byte-sized documentaries about the culture in Soweto. Janneman helped out with the video. In their words:

Instead of showing the twenty-five minute documentary in a linear fashion from start to finish, Mobikasi splits the content up into twenty-five inserts of one minute each. Each one-minute clip covers a different topic that is relevant to the youth in Soweto and is geo-tagged to the location where it was shot. The location-based documentary looks at people, music, fashion, social issues and places of interest.

Cow Africa recently launched the MWEB Gadget Genie campaign. Using some interesting pixel art and old school tunes they really managed to take this reviewer back a view years. It reminds of me of the old school bit games that I used to play – Kings Quest, Space Quest, Police Quest, Leisure Suite Larry (Can’t tell me you didn’t play that one!)

The campaign is aimed at identifying potential “gadget genies” with a email capture form at the end of the game. Being a self-professed geek, even I expanded my geek knowledge, only nearly making the cut!

You might remember the pallets from one of their previous floor design. They’ve now taken the previous designs outdoor and have installed some Astroturf grass to give it that awesome outdoor feel. I had the opportunity to take a phone call outside and promptly took liberty to lie down while chatting. I didn’t want to get up!
