Gloo Recruitment Banner
Here’s a very nice banner campaign from Gloo. This was to recruit new staff to their Johannesburg and Cape Town offices (or Glooburg and Glootown as they refer to them).
Nice and interactive. Check out the full banner here.
Glooloween – A Gloo Halloween project

Augmented reality is fast becoming the new buzzword for emmersive experiences online. While brands are still trying to find ways to imlement these as an extension of their campaigns, agency as beginning to show that they have a great understanding of this latest technology.
Some background about the site is that it was a proactive project to spread the Gloo love to a few of their clients. All music and animation on the site was produced internally – with the Gloo band performing their own rendition of Thriller.
The idea was to create something interactive and fun for their clients to experience at Halloween – as well as to introduce this innovative technology to theor client base.
Check out this great example by digital agency, Gloo, Glooloween.
FREE BURGER! by Draftfcb CT
This campaign was developed to promote Spur’s Monday Night Burger Special (buy one burger, get one free). Draftfcb Cape Town was responsible for the concept, TV and radio. The TV commercial showcases a court scene in which “Burger” is declared free every Monday at Spur. The other elements, such as the radio spots and website, developed out of this concept. The Free Burger website (created by Gloo) provides news on the special and encourages people to interact with the “Free Burger” movement by voting for the burger they would most like to declare ‘free’.

Gloo – Simba Gram

Another site developed by Gloo. This one allows you to create messages sung by Simba Potatoes and send them on to your friends. The concept is not new but still quite a nice execution of this, with some cool videos being created for each of the possible selections. Worth having a look to at least see the appreciate the quality of the finishing touches on this.

Gloo – Ghost Pop Banners
I recently found this banner by Gloo (ED: Hey Gloo how about sending them to us in the future! We love these!!
Really enjoyed the concept of a normal washing ad that goes wrong when you mouse over. Great concept, awesome execution. Definitely worth having a look.
What’s your thoughts?
Gloo – Paper Art Microsite

We recently discovered this micro-site from Gloo that allows you to customise and save a pdf template of a paper toy. There’s a male and female toy each with a ‘business’ and ‘casual’ side that you can change the features of. The die for the toys was obviously inspired by the awesome readymech style paper toys. Loads more cool images when you click through.
Good Hope FM – Kinky Afro

The Kinky Afro campaign by Good Hope FM certainly isn’t new – you’ve certainly spotted the ads on TV (if not, we’ve embedded it below). The site for Kinky Afro was produced by Gloo and takes a tongue in cheek look at the computers we used during the 80′s and early 90′s. The site also includes a mini Pong game with the characters, where they sing some of their favourite lyrics if you hit a ball.

The Bookmarks Awards
![]()
As most might know the first annual Bookmarks awards took place last week. While some drama revolved around the event, overall I think it was a step in the right direction.
The Bookmarks is exactly what we at 10 and 5 want, another medium to see the quality of work out there. To see what other digital companies in South Africa are currently doing and who is pushing the boundaries of what has been done thus far.
Congrats to all involved! We would also like to know your thoughts on this Awards Ceremony and if you think it has a future. Click here to listen to what Adrian Hewlett, chairman of the Online Publishers Association (OPA) has to say about it.
