The following ad, created by King James, offers us a glimpse into a future where water is a rare and precious commodity. The ad emphasizes the plight of Recycling Oil Saves the Environment (ROSE) a non-profit organization that manages the environmentally acceptable collection, storage and recycling of used lubricating oil in South Africa. ROSE is run by a Chief Executive Officer and a board of 8 directors representing members of all the main lubricant marketers in the country, who’s mission it is to recycle oil, thereby protecting earth’s most precious natural resource, water. The ad was conceptualized by writer Peri van Papendorp and art director Jako Swanepoel and executed by Creative Director / Writer Devin Kennedy and Senior Art Director Damien Bonse.
