Advertising in a recession


In today’s harsh economic climate it’s more important than ever that advertising be both creative and cost effective. A good example of advertising for small businesses is this campaign for Executive Touring, a transfers company that provides¬†personalised tours for executives and managers in the Western Cape. In anticipation of the Loeries, Executive Touring’s Clive Friedberg came up with the idea of creating a series of postcards targeting industry professionals who will be attending the awards. Clive hired a freelance copywriter and designer to execute the campaign,¬†which allowed him to keep costs down without compromising on quality.
