Ster Kinekor movie marathon aimed at students

Ster-Kinekor Movie Marathon poster

We got this press release through the grapevine, seems like Ster Kinekor will be running a campaign aimed at students – anyone know who did the campaign/event or if it was done in-house?

Can you pull an all-nighter playing games and watching four movies in a row, followed by a slap breakfast? Shake off the pre-exam jitters and head down to selected Ster-Kinekor cinemas on Saturday, September 19 for a monster movie marathon!

These Movie Marathons will be taking place at various Ster-Kinekor Theatres across the country, from 9pm all the way through to 10am the following Sunday morning. Participating cinemas in the main student hotspots are The Zone @ Rosebank, Sterland in Pretoria, Scottsville in Pietermaritzburg, Musgrave in Durban, Cavendish in Cape Town, Mimosa in Bloemfontein and Mooi Rivier in Potchefstroom.

The Movie Marathons – hosted by Ster-Kinekor Theatres, Student Village, 5FM, Play Station games and Power Play energy drink – will feature gaming on the big screen for the first time, as well as DJs to keep the night owls awake, alert and on their toes.

The intrepid adventurers who attempt this endurance feat will be richly rewarded with special sneak previews of four new movies that will only be releasing on circuit in the weeks to follow. They are: The Ugly Truth, Final Destination 4, The Taking of Pelham 123 and August

This mega movie fest will conclude with a slap-up breakfast to replenish the reserves of all the hardy and bleary-eyed conquerors of the silver screen.

Grab a bunch of your mates, pack away the books for the night, take a brain break and head down to one of these sites for an all-night-long pyjama party that promises to be a blast. In fact, if you have the courage to rock up in your jammies, you stand in line to win great prizes.
