Pretty soon we’ll see the launch of the second ghd Style Lounge – an innovative take on styling and a pop-up store. If you are someone who would be interested in the event, make sure you sign up on the site. The website was produced by Cow Africa. The press release is below:
Global hair beauty brand, ghd, will be hosting its pop up salon the ghd style lounge for a second year during the summer party season. Conceived by Atmosphere Communications, in collaboration with Hammer Live Brands, the event will provide the ultimate pre-party makeover at secret locations in Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg. Those wishing to attend can apply for an invitation at www.ghdstylediary.co.za.
Guests will receive star treatment as a team of ghd stylists create the season’s hottest hairstyles, and experts from Benefit complete the look with make-up makeovers. Held at magnificently opulent venues, those attending will also indulge in decadent treats and wine from House of Krone. Once the style transformation is complete guests will be led into a uniquely designed photography studio where they will be able take their own self-portraits.
“The ghd style lounge is a great way to focus excitement around the brand during a key sales period. Our approach with the ghd style lounge was to create an original event that surprises and delights our consumers, as well as educating them on the full creative potential of ghd IV stylers and products. The event is supported by an integrated marketing campaign led by public relations,” said Janlyn Cornah, ghd marketing executive.
ghd has become known for innovative events in South Africa that link social media, public relations and live events. Last year’s style lounge events attracted over 4000 applications and received over R1.5 million worth of media coverage for the brand.
