Named after an extract from the poem ‘neither Shakespeare nor Mickey Spillane’ by Charles Bukowski, a poem about a writer’s struggle for survival, success, recognition,  & critical acclaim, which may be likened to the challenges faced by any artist, of any kind, anywhere in the world, across all barriers. The title also bears literal reference to conceptual process by which the artworks will be produced. Six artists working in any medium of their choice, 6 Bukowski poems, 36 individual artworks & 1 collaborative title piece.
