08 Jun Listen up – Loeries Young Creatives Awards 2010 info
Winning a Loeries Young Creatives Award kick-starts great things
For young creatives, the glory of winning the Loeries 2010 Young Creatives Award, at the start of their careers, is just the very beginning. The race is now on to find this year’s most talented duo.
Entrants have until 30th June to submit their portfolio.
The Young Creatives Award recognises outstanding achievement of individuals under the age of 27 working in any area of brand communication – Advertising, Communication Design or Experiential Media. Entrants submit a portfolio of their work and the winners receive a Gold Loerie, as well as an all-expenses paid trip to an international award show of their choice.
Past Young Creatives Award winners have found that the overseas trip broadened their horizons and expanded their professional knowledge base. However, the recognition and respect that the award earned them closer to home proved to be the real benefit of winning.
Last year, the Young Creatives Award was received by Sanjiv Mistry, copywriter at Ogilvy Cape Town and Joanne van der Linde, art director at Net#work BBDO. They both chose to go to the One Show in New York City.
Entry for the Young Creatives Award is free. All entrants must submit a portfolio of work from the last three years by 30 June 2010. The full entry requirements and eligibility criteria are available on the Loeries website (www.theloerieawards.co.za).
The entry deadline for The Loerie Awards has now been extended until 14 June, with a special extension until 13 July for World Cup related communications. For more information, visit www.theloerieawards.co.za.
