20 Aug Greenpop creating awareness around Cape Town
Greenpop have been busy over the last week organising pop-up green awareness campaigns. You might’ve seen them at the Neighbourgoods market at the Old Biscuit Mill last Saturday or in Long Street on Friday. Greenpoppers took over a parking space in Long Street and turned it into a green space with live music, artists, a picnic, lots of grass and trees. They say, “It’s a campaign to make a statement and raise awareness about greening and how necessary it is right now.”
You can join them tomorrow where they’ll be at the Old Biscuit Mill again hosting a jamming session in the car park. “We’ll be selling trees, spreading the word about greening and enjoying the vibes on our patch of Greenpop grass.” Visit them to find out some more about their aim to plant 1000 trees during September and buy 1 or 2 to help them reach their goal. So far 200 trees have been sold.
