Chaos Computers in Cape Town is running a Chaos Candystore Competition (one sweet deal a day) and to promote it they have digital marketing agency, World Wide Creative, on board. World Wide Creative are using ORM (online reputation management) tools to link trending topics with the promotion and in doing so are creating daily tactical ads. They explain their process – Chaos and World Wide Creative marketing teams have been meeting daily to weigh up breaking news, memes, trending stories and buzz themes. The most popular topic of the day is then converted into a smart, focused advert and linked to the sweet deal of the daily promotion.
