The Fringe Arts: Book Paper Scissors

The Fringe Arts - Book Paper Scissors

The Fringe Arts, renowned for its quest to conquer the world one POP-UP at a time, brings its quality collection of contemporary South African art and design back to the V&A Waterfront’s Alfred Mall. After a successful 3-day POP-UP at the Design Indaba Expo 2011, the Cape Town-based arts project company launches its second POP-UP in the Alfred Mall with its first solo exhibition by artist Keri Muller.

About Keri Muller

After travelling extensively Keri Muller has re-settled in her native Cape Town. A self-confessed treasure hunter and hoarder Muller draws inspiration from times past to create intricate contemporary work. Using found objects liberated from a dusty existence, Muller invites us on a journey of nostalgia.

About The Fringe Arts

The Fringe Arts is an arts project company that sells art through versatile concepts in which it collaborates with integrity with artists and clients in a way that makes business sense. Based in Cape Town, The Fringe Arts is owned and run by Chantal Louw and Thessa Bos. One of its core projects is a 100% South African art & design collective. Louw and Bos run the collective as a pop-up shop, which means that rather than run a permanent space, The Fringe Arts pops-up temporarily in empty spaces or as part of exhibitions. Products of its artists and designers are Africa-inspired, but not Africa-themed. Each piece is locally designed and manufactured and handmade.
