The Princess Project

Okay so I’m not a female, but if you are, I’m sure you remember those high school days when ‘getting that perfect dress’ was pretty much the most important thing in anticipation of your matric dance…right?

Every year Elizabeth Galloway donates heavily to a series of causes. One of the causes they have donated to in the last few years has been the Princess Project. This charity, started by ex-Miss South Africa Jo-Anne Strauss, organizes and gives donated Matric Farewell (Prom) dresses to those that can’t afford it.

Last year the graduate students of Elizabeth Galloway Academy of Fashion Design did a group project where they designed and fabricated a series of dresses for the project. As the Academy is in the process of donating the dresses at the moment they thought it would be a good idea to do a shoot of the clothing.

Have a look a the pieces below and let us know if they would have been your cup of tea! Photography was done by Theunis Stofberg.
