Ogilvy is marketing it’s latest campaign, VW Date Drive, as ‘a test drive with a difference.’ To celebrate the launch of the new Polo GTI, the campaign is giving lucky individuals the chance to drive a sexy new vehicle for a night, to impress a hot date of their choice and improve their chances of getting lucky.
The dates will be tracked live from a website, which allows members of the public to follow each date’s tweets, heart rate levels and movements in real time.
A few ‘media’ people, Cape Town Girl, Andrew from we-are-awesome, blogger Dylan Jack, Thaya from Beatnik Bazaar and even Tracy Mcgregor, have already taken the Polo (and their dates) for a spin while live-tweeting the night for their followers on twitter.
