This Friday (tomorrow!) /A WORD OF ART and the RVCA Artist Network Program are bringing us WE ARE BEAUTIFUL LOSERS, a wonderific evening of Art, Music and Unicorns! Popcorn, Beers and Balloons! Bands, Doodles and VJs!
There will be a screening of the film Beautiful Losers starting at 7pm and after that a party!
Expect bands: Beatenburg, Bateleur, Jeremy Loops
DJs: Fani and Fucking Matt
Live art: Matt Hichens, Freddy Sam, Bison, Jade Doreen Waller, Urika Boss, Jean De Wet, Mike Tymbios
VJs: Daniel Ting Chong, The Grrrl
And overhead doodle battles. (winners are decided on by the strict criteria of 9 points for creativity, 1 point for artistic merit)
Free entrance till 9:30pm, after that it’s R30 a pop unless…YOU DRESS UP & GET IN FOR FREE!
A note from the organisers: dress as whatever you like and get in free. As long as there is effort. We’ll reward extra effort with beer and popcorn and unicorn rides. Dress up as a group or gang or gander. Make us smile and we will get you drunk.
/A WORD OF ART will also donate one tree per dressed-up person to GREENPOP.
We think planting trees is very important so we’re here to help you with fancy dress ideas. To the theme of course:
