13 Jun Verb Activists Tribute Series #1
Verb have created an Activists Tribute Series, the first of the series paying respect to Shepard Fairey and Nelson Mandela. There are a limited-edition of 50, signed and numbered “MADIBA” serigraph prints in the style of Shepard Fairey, that are available exclusively from the Art South Africa retail store at 176 Sir Lowry Road, Woodstock, Cape Town.
There have been so many truly great individuals in the history of mankind, and Verb wouldnʼt be what it is today without the influence of these powerful activists. In homage to these individuals, Verb are proud to announce the release of their first range in the Activists Tribute Series.
HUMAN RIGHTS ACTIVIST: NELSON MANDELA
“No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin, his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.”

POLITICAL ACTIVIST: SHEPARD FAIREY
The “MADIBA” design has been executed in a style that mirrors that of Shepard Fairey – political activist, culture jammer, artist and graphic designer – whoʼs instantly recognizable and iconic OBEY works truly confirm his statement: “The Medium is the Message.”
