City Soirée

City Soirée is back!

City Soirée

City Soirée is a platform from which local artists from various disciplines can showcase their talents, and after a short term of absence they’re back in full creative swing. Read more about their latest event below.

Saturday 25 June we will be at Haas Collective, 67 Rose Street, Bo-Kaap. The line-up includes Nina Fourie-Gouws, the man who plays guitar the wrong way round, Righard Kapp, as well as a sax player who might consider melting down all his awards and making a giant mechanised millipede out of gold because he has so many trophies. Yes, you’ve guessed it, Mark Fransman will be there!

Haas is officially our favourite coffee house so we would like to encourage you to come early and enjoy their fresh brew and baked goods. It’s good. Your life will take a turn for the better. The concert starts at 20:00. That’s Jo’burg time and not Cape Town time. Entrance is R65. It is cold so bring a blanket, cuddle up with someone delicious, and then leave it when you go. We will make sure that it gets to a body who needs it!

And to reward you for you patience… Friday 8 July we return with a FREE concert in The Fringe at The Book Lounge, 71 Roeland Street! Please note that the time for this event is 17:30 for 18:00. The multi-award winning Afrikaans poet, Loftus Marais will return to City Soirée. He will be joined by Vera Vukovic playing Renaissance Lute Songs, and Dillion Banda.
