For something different, David Krut Projects (Parkwood) is hosting an experimental sound performance and installation over this week. Intermittent performances by musician João Orecchia and composer/musician Joseph Suchy have taken and will take place twice daily from Monday through Friday. You still have time to catch today, Thursday and Friday’s performances.  The inspired event aims to create an experience within the space that also invites audience interaction.

You’re also invited to join on Saturday, from noon, for a meet and greet session with the artists. They will be talking about the project and welcome audience engagement, as well as questions and conversation, throughout the week.

Performance times:
18 – 22 July: 16:00 – 17:00 and 18:00 – 19:00
23 July: 12:00 – 13:00 and 14:00 – 15:00
140 Jan Smuts Avenue, Parkwood, Johannesburg
011 447 0627

Then on Thursday night, João Orecchia will be performing music from his album Hands & Feet, along with some new works in progress with Mpumi Mcata and Tshepang Ramoba at Kitchener’s Carvery Bar (Conrner Juta and Debeer, Braamfontein). Also performing will be new friends Spooky Attraction From a Distance, a collaboration between Joseph Suchy and singer Juliana Venter.
