15 Aug Lari Meyer | Afraid of Mice
At the beginning of the year Lari Meyer photographed the summer range for Afraid of Mice (imported vintage clothing). She created an interesting effect by using snap shots from inside the Iziko SA National Museum projected in studio. The birds & the bees is the result.
Some info about the photographer: From a young age Lari Meyer was exposed to the world of photography with both her father and her aunt being award winning photographers. You could say photography is in her blood. From these artistic beginnings it seemed a logical step for her to study art direction and design at Red and Yellow. After completing her studies Lari went to the UK in search of adventure and found it working on a horse farm for six months before the sunny SA weather lured her back.
She has spent the past few years working in graphic design in a variety of studios around Cape Town, but Lari always maintains that photography is and will always be her first love. She has a deep affection for the smell of developer and the way the world presents itself through a viewfinder. She has recently dipped her toes into the world of fashion and portrait photography.
