07 Sep PASTE.
We’re super excited to tell you about PASTE. a street art exhibition we’re currently involved with curated by Shani Judes of SJ ARTISTS. It’s inspired by international street artist JR’s recent Inside Out Project , which was managed by Shani while the team was here pasting in Cape Town.
For PASTE. 15 local artists have been selected to design, illustrate or photograph work around the theme of Khayelitsha Culture. The work will be turned into large scale wheat pastes and will be pasted around Khayelitsha and Cape Town’s inner city starting on Friday.
The aim: to take the exhibition out of the gallery space and into the streets of both city and township. To spread the art into the different cultures and allow the greater community access.
We invite you to keep your eyes open and spot the artworks, take snaps and send them in for us to blog – firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com
You can see live updates on the SJ ARTISTS twitter feed throughout the project.
To raise funds for this project and for future projects – final images will be on sale. More info on that to follow soon!
