Caroline Mackintosh’s alluring photographs tell stories. The 23 year old aspiring photographer graduated from UCT in 2010 with a BSc Property Studies and has since been focusing on her photography by capturing her surroundings.
In Cally’s own words,”Photography has always been a passion of mine. For me it has a way of celebrating both the spontaneous and routine events of our everyday lives by finding the hidden moments between. About 7 months ago, my photograph won the Nokia N8 series contest and a weekend away with wildlife photographer, Greg Du Toit. After this I became completely inspired.
Since then I have done a Part time Digital photography course at Ruth Prowse as well as documenting my travels to Botswana and around Europe for the past 4 months. I don’t have a single genre that I concentrate on and still have a lot to learn but it’s this open ended, subjective nature of photography that intrigues me.”
