Green issues are still a hot topic in today’s society whether it’s in the business sector, the home and school environment or the creative one.

With Durban hosting upcoming COP-17 UN Climate Change Conference, South Africa becomes a pivotal figure in a discussion that is global.

Brundyn and Gonsalves present Implemented Environments, an exhibition incorporating an array of creative responses to the theme of environment. Involved local artists have addressed ecological, economic or sociopolitical issues in their pieces. Some have simply reflected on the connection between humans and earth.

Artists include Jessie Hammond, Mohau Modisakeng, Daniella Mooney, Zwelethu Mthethwa, Sean Slemon, Jan van der Merwe and Barbara Wildenboer.
