New local stock photography site, AgencystockSA, is running a Local is Lekker photo competition. Anybody can enter as many times as they like and the panel of esteemed judges – Joanne Thomas (The Jupiter Drawing Room), Jesse Leigh Elford (Photographer), Morne van Zyl (Photographer) and Alistair King (King James) – will pick a winner who gets R5000. Sound good?
Here are the details:
All you have to do is upload photos that represent South African flavour the best. The things you only see in South Africa. And no, you’re not limited to one photo, you can upload a thousand if you want.
Simply register on the link below as a seller and upload your images. And if you’re the early adopter that’s already registered as a seller, you’re automatically entered.
This is what they’re looking for:
Be interesting. We’re looking for Real-Life-South Africa and it doesn’t get better than that. Think townships, social events, uncontrived informal business like the green grocer behind the counter at your local cafe, friends, all weather. Just make sure you have the rights to use the people and/or properties in your amazing shots.
Closing date for entries is 10 June 2012. Each week the top 10 images will be shortlisted for final judging with the winner being announced on 18 June 2012.
