Castle Lager – Africa United

Castle Lager recently launched their new brand campaign ‘Africa United’ as South Africa gets ready to welcome the rest of the continent to our country for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

Castle Lager has been proudly associated with football in South Africa since as far back as 1959, and this year celebrates 20 years of continued support for Bafana Bafana.

This integrated campaign by Ogilvy Johannesburg and digital communications agency Retroviral aims to not only rally our nation but an entire continent to “enjoy another spectacle around the passion point of football.”

  1. Carlos the Hamster

This ad is awful! I feel for the poor agency folk having to work on such a k@k account.

  2. Agree with you, Hamster. It’s definitely not their usual high standard. Aside from that, I’m sick of ‘supporta’ ads. More worryingly though – who calls a company Retroviral?! Was Anti-Retroviral already taken? 🙂

  3. Hannes van Niekerk

Why oh why does Castle insist on running the same ad for, like, 20 years. Surely they’d save a lot of money by just running the old ads?….

  4. I have a thoughts about the advertisement of Castle Lager and if the brand manager is interested can phone, facebook, and e-mail me. Thanks a lot i hope my request will be highly accepted

  5. Why is there no indian people in this ad… Don’t they drink beer???????
